The house is in purr-fect chaos! The kittens have begun litter-box training and weaning, and they’re getting used to wearing collars to help prepare them for harnesses when the time is right.
Their little personalities are beginning to shine through. With so many boys in the litter, there’s plenty of rough-and-tumble play.
Their little sister rules the roost, though, and is often seen putting her brothers back in their place.
I'd be insane not to retain a keeper
All the kittens in this litter have excellent features that any breeder would value. They display attractive countershading, with lighter undersides reminiscent of large wild cats.
Their ears are well positioned and nicely rounded, while their large, nocturnal-looking eyes are framed by pale markings. The kittens are also beginning to develop the thick black “eyeliner” that makes their eye colour stand out.
Each kitten is solidly built, with excellent bone and structure for their age. I’m going to be hard-pressed to choose which one to keep 😊
A Repeat Mating of Perfection
Our first pairing of Mayla to Phoenix created our beautiful keeper girl, Narda. Ashmiyah Copper Fusion. There’s not a person who’s seen her that didn’t go, WOW.
To be honest, she wasn’t even my pick of the litter. That went to her brother, but as there were only 2 kittens in the litter and I was looking for a girl to continue her Dams pedigree lines, she stayed.
Genetically Mayla and Phoenix are a great match for key features within the Bengal breed.
Mayla's adopted Marli's little singleton boy
As we all know, breeding doesn’t always go to plan, and sometimes a little one arrives with no siblings to cuddle up to. That’s what happened to Marli’s little boy, and thankfully, Mayla was happy to welcome an extra kitten.
Marli’s boy was born on the same day as Mayla’s kittens, which was such a blessing for this little lad. Mayla has been a wonderful mum and loves him just as much as her own.
